Highly recommend

St. Andrews Memory Care spoke to me and I truly think it was a God send and it has been an amazing fit for my loved one. The facility has a church attached to it and it has a rich history which we really liked because we are religious. The staff have been really good with communication to the families. I was reserved at first and did not know what to expect since we have never been through this process and I actually stayed there for a few weeks in the beginning and it is a great place all around. Some of the staff have been here 20 plus years so there is not a lot of turnover. We are very pleased.

I visited this facility

St. Andrews Memory Care was a nice place. It wouldn't work for my brother because he couldn't smoke. He smokes a lot. But that was a good place. They have activities with the patients. It seemed like whatever they were doing was geared towards the floor that the patients were on. They have nice outside grounds. It was well kept, clean, and nice. But because it was a nonsmoking facility, it was not going to work for him. I talked to the director, and she did the tour. They answered questions and they were polite. It was just a short quick tour. We didn't go into the rooms; they have patients. The residents were in the hallway in the dayroom and that seemed to be organized. They have a garden and a patio-type place.

For those of us who have loved ones living at St. Andrews know the importance of having staff engaging with residents, getting them to take part in daily activities and getting out of their room.. Most recently I have been more than impressed with the bubbly, jovial, engaging vibrant activities leader Ms. Nikitta. What she has done in such a short time with my grandmother is more than anyone has done the entire time she has been there. So many times I have called/video called and she is in her room and now when I call she is hardly ever in her room or if she is telling me about Ms. Nikitta and what they did that day. When you are unable to be around all the time knowing St. Andrews has highly qualified staff that are making a difference makes families such as ours very happy. I am so glad my grandmother has Ms. Nikitta, .great job St. Andrews!

What a beautiful place! From the grounds, to the architecture, St. Andrews is one of the most beautiful buildings in Portland. Additionally, the director Joshua and his team are wonderful with the residents! The activity director and her assistant are amazing along with the nursing staff. This community is unique in that it truly is the heart of a wonderful neighborhood that loves to stay in connection with the St. Andrews residents. There is very much a sense of family here!

My sister with early-onset dementia is a resident here, and while we were concerned the age difference would spook her, she has settled in very well. The staff is taking great care of her, and were very receptive to incorporating our experiences in her care to make it best for everyone. She takes full advantage of all the activities, and is even happier and engaged than when we were caring for her!

This institution is absolutely lovely.When I walked inside it smelled clean. While I was visiting my sister a housekeeper cleaned my sister's room and her bathroom. The rooms are wonderful. They are larger rooms than what you would see elsewhere. Each room has a bathroom toilet sink ect. and they have windows in all of the rooms. It's magnificent. They are all hard wood or similar to hard wood. Which is great because it's easy to clean. Staff has been wonderful. They are really good about maintaining a positive attitude which then makes the residents have good attitude. The over all energy here is just so calming and happy. I seen some residents playing bingo and they really seemed to be enjoying that.They were able to win fun prizes and things. As well as making some bracelets out of beads. Staff was also participating in these activities and seemed to be having fun.The community offers quite a few amenities They have a massive yard. The residents are taken on walks where they are watched by a staff member.There are also benches outside for residents to rest and catch their breath. The community was a great place everyone there seemed happy and healthy. I'm truly glad I put my sister in this institution.

Wonderful place. Staff is kind and residents constantly go on walks and do fun activities. Residents are engaged in a number of things and genuinely seem happy.

I can not begin to express how impressed I was with St.Andrews Memory Care. The rooms great. Staff Awesome. But lets talk about the activities!! First off those two ladies in activities are the nicest people there. They were extraordinary. I couldn't get the elevator to work so one of them helped me. And not just opened the elevator for me. But actually walked me up to my moms room and made sure I got there. In the elevator we talked and I asked her what they do all day. And she told me what they were doing. I was beyond impressed. I saw them painting nails that day, decorating for Easter going outside with residents and also sitting down with residents and just reassuring them that it's ok and that they are safe. These ladies were so amazing. It lets me breath knowing that my mom isn't just sitting doing nothing all day long. It was one of my big fear when I put her in a facility. But I know that she is being well taken care of and she is being stimulated by all of these enriching activities that those two are doing. This place is great and if you have any fear about putting you family in a facility. Look at their activity calendar. And think would you be happy with these activities. Because When I looked at the St.Andrews Calendar I would do all of these activities

Staff is kind and friendly. Not only to family members but to the residents as well. The room are quite spacious. It depends on the room of course but you standard size room is quite generous. They provide some furniture such as table and chairs. Any time I visit my mother she is well showered. There food is pretty good and everyone seems to enjoy it. I have been here several times and I have seen a vast amount of improvements. From the staff to the residents over all well being. staff seem happier and more put together. They looking professional. And the residents and always looking clean and taken care of. I have also noticed an improvement in the types of activities offered. Residents seem very engaged in all sorts of activities from milk and cookies to bowling. amenities offered is the building has a huge amount of property. Any time I go to visit I see people walking outside and enjoying the weather. I've never had an issue with anyone there. If mom's stuff goes missing staff is more than happy to help. And I usually get a call or an email informing me that her stuff has been found. If I am ever not able to make it over there to see mom in person I can always call the building and they let me talk to her granted that she is up. I am so happy I chose this facility.

Staff is friendly and kind. If i needed help with something it was easy to kind staff and tell them what I needed. Management dresses professionally and clean. The building is beautiful and the residents seem happy and healthy. It was such a pleasure to come in a visit.

Obviously it is always scary moving a member of the family, but the staff here made me feel so comfortable and grams was so welcome. I’m able to visit and check in on her and they take lots of pictures so I feel like I’m not as far away. Grams loves the building and she gets to walk around their gorgeous courtyard. They all seem really friendly and don’t mind all my worrying. If she can’t be home this is honestly the best place she can be. She is well cared for

Very inviting place to work! Management makes sure everyone is a part of the community. We are all very lucky to get the opportunity to know and interact with the lovely individuals who live here. The job itself is very interactive and calls for lots of creativity! We get to get outside and go for walks and organize fun and enriching activities for residents in a beautiful historic building. Additionally, this company is taking all covid safety very seriously. Very safe and exciting place to work!

This is a wonderful institution. My mother passed recently and staff was kind and thoughtful throughout the whole process. During COVID they have been responsible yet attentive. They have made many improvements. Staff seems happier and the residents are always engaged in a wide range of activities. I whole heartily recommend this institution if you are looking for somewhere to put your loved one. You can rest assured that they will be happy and taken care of.

Most of the staff is very nice and always helps me if I need something. My sister seems very happy. I felt bad for putting her out of the house and not being able to take care of her. But I know that she is well taken care of her at St.Andrews

The entire staff work tirelessly to care for the residents. I've personally witnessed the staff purchasing clothing, shoes and treats for the residents. It gives me joy to see such compassion bestowed upon our residents.

I recently went to visit my aunt, and was totally impressed by the new house keeper. It's always a blessing and ease to know my aunt is in great care. Not only was my aunt's room clean, but the house keeper was also caring for her :) I appreciated her kindness and the genuine loving concern she had towards her. We need more care givers and house keepers with the same positive attitude and empathy. People like your new house keeper is what makes St. Andrews such a great place!

They have recently hired on a new housekeeper. I came into see my mom and the housekeeper was changing her (go figures, the care staff is none the less lazy.) I waited around the corner and she was so kind, and reassuring to my mother. She talked to her like shes known her for years. My mother dosent really talk anymore but the new housekeeper had her laughing and trying to communicate which she dosent typically do. She was also singing elvis Presley to my mom, while holding her hands and dancing her around in her wheel chair. I made sure to introduce myself to her. I feel like my mother is actually safe with her around. My mothers room was very clean, and smelled so good. Keep an eye out for hailee or (kailee) not sure which one it is (oops) she will love your loved ones the way they deserve to be loved. Best hire so far!

St. Andrews is such a gem. Great staff with smiles on their faces when I know how hard/thankless of a job caregiving can be as I cared for my mother for years before moving. Thank you thank you for helping my family be a family again.

We?re very happy with St. Andrews Memory Care and we feel the care is good. It has a unique character to it. It was an old nunnery. It's clean and they keep it nicely fixed up. It's not one of the super fancy ones, but it's nice and comfortable. The staff has just been so warm and friendly. The dining area is just fine, but it's nice because they all get to be together. My dad's food has to be pureed, which they're very good at accommodating, and the other residents say the food is good and home-cooked. They seem to be happy with it and eat it just fine. They're also good at providing snacks and treats for them. They've found the activities that my dad enjoys and they include him. They take him outside so he gets to stroll around the garden. My dad really likes the pampering. My dad needs a lot of care, the highest level, and they're giving it to him. He's always clean, shaved, and dressed appropriately. He sees the staff and he smiles really big, so we know they're treating him well. They were so much more reasonably-priced for good quality care, and they take Medicaid with no problem.

I visited this facility

I visited this facility. I found it to not only a beautiful historical place, but I also found the employees I met to be very caring. I met some of the residents and while they have dementia, they seem mostly happy. I only saw a couple of rooms and they were clean. The residents have some of their own furniture and belongings. The staff I met were very congenial and really seemed to care for the residents I observed while there. I did not see the activities. The facility itself is a beautiful historical building, with wonderful grounds. I had lunch there and found the food to be good. The administrative staff I met seemed very knowledgeable in answering my questions and were all so kind, not only with me, but with the residents I saw some of them with. They said they view the facility as the home of the residents and therefore treat them as such. I saw some of them going into the office of the administration employees and interacting with them. I am very impressed. I hope I won't need to be there as a patient, but if I ever need it, this would be the place. I love the chapel and felt a great peace there. I walked on the grounds and found them to be beautiful, including the historical tree
